New Showbiz Analysis

Infection: The Invasion Begins operates within the conventional boundaries of the sci-fi horror genre. While it centers on a female survivor, the narrative structure remains tied to traditional clichés rather than challenging social hierarchies. The film lacks meaningful representation of multiple aspects of identity, such as LGBTQ+, racial, or disability. It relies on established genre frameworks that prioritize mystery and conspiracy over exploring progressive identity issues. Ultimately, the production follows a standard independent filmmaking model. It provides a central female perspective but fails to disrupt traditional gender or systemic power dynamics.
