Reg is a biographical drama that emphasizes domestic realism and the personal tragedy of a military family. The narrative architecture is built around traditional family and national identity structures, focusing on a specific historical context. Since the film prioritizes the humanistic experience of loss within a conventional framework, it lacks the complexity of multi-layered narratives or systemic critiques found in more progressive works. Ultimately, it adheres to a traditionalist portrayal of its subjects without challenging established norms.
