AI Analysis

How Most Things Work is a character study centered on a woman navigating grief and economic precarity. The film succeeds in subverting gendered passivity by presenting a protagonist who actively pursues her own goals despite isolation. However, the narrative remains somewhat narrow in its scope. It focuses heavily on a singular, traditional familial quest, which limits the breadth of its social representation. While the film offers a nuanced look at individual agency within restrictive environments, it lacks the intersectional depth required for a higher diversity score.
