Category Breakdown

LGBTQ+ Representation

Minimal

The film focuses entirely on the mechanics of a credit card fraud operation. There is no evidence of non-cisnormative identities or narratives addressing heteronormativity.

Gender Representation

Limited

The story centers on two male hustlers, adhering to traditional masculine archetypes. This likely reinforces conventional gendered power dynamics common in the crime genre.

Racial & Ethnic Diversity

Fair

While the NYC and Miami settings suggest a diverse urban landscape, the protagonists' racial identities remain unconfirmed. The film lacks evidence of intentional intersectional depth.

Religious & Cultural Diversity

Limited

The narrative prioritizes criminal underworld tropes over nuanced cultural commentary. It explores anti-social behavior for plot tension rather than providing a systemic critique of institutions.

Disability Representation

Minimal

There is no indication that the film incorporates characters with visible or invisible disabilities. Disability is not used as a narrative device here.

Strengths

  • The urban settings of New York City and Miami provide a backdrop that suggests a diverse landscape.

Areas for Improvement

  • The film lacks representation for LGBTQ+ identities and characters with disabilities.
  • The narrative relies on traditional masculine archetypes rather than exploring diverse gender dynamics.
  • There is a lack of explicit racial or cultural depth within the character descriptions.

AI Analysis

Percentage is a conventional crime thriller that prioritizes genre tropes and plot momentum over the exploration of identity. The narrative follows a standard rise-and-fall trajectory centered on illicit commerce and survival. The film lacks intentional representation of LGBTQ+ individuals or characters with disabilities. It relies on established archetypes of the criminal underworld rather than subverting social hierarchies. While the urban settings imply a diverse backdrop, the film does not provide specific evidence of racial or cultural depth, functioning primarily as a genre-driven action piece.
