New Showbiz Analysis

This film marks a transitional phase for the franchise, moving from a localized British perspective to a globalized one. By expanding the setting across five continents, the story successfully moves away from a strictly Anglo-centric viewpoint. The inclusion of Nia as a protagonist from Africa brings both gender and racial diversity to the cast. This shift significantly broadens the character landscape compared to previous installments. However, the film remains limited in its scope of identity. It lacks any representation of LGBTQ+ identities or disabilities, focusing instead on a traditional, idealized adventure narrative.
