New Showbiz Analysis

Navdeep Singh’s debut is a sophisticated neo-noir that emphasizes atmospheric tension and systemic critique rather than commercial clichés. It dismantles the traditional hero archetype by presenting a morally ambiguous protagonist entangled in a web of corruption. The film's strongest point is its authentic regional grounding, which immerses the story in the specific socio-cultural landscape of rural Rajasthan, offering a depth often missing from mainstream productions. However, the film remains limited in its social breadth, lacking representation for LGBTQ+ identities and disabilities, and adhering to a more conventional narrative framework.
