Gender Representation

Good

The story is driven entirely by female agency. Blandine serves as the primary investigator, while the plot hinges on revelations made by her sister.

Racial & Ethnic Diversity

Fair

Religious & Cultural Diversity

Good

Strengths

  • Strong female agency as the protagonist drives the investigation and moral arc.
  • Complex narrative architecture that challenges the infallibility of the justice system.
  • Nuanced exploration of subjective morality and the weight of familial secrets.

Areas for Improvement

  • Lack of explicit representation for LGBTQ+ identities or non-heteronormative characters.
  • Limited evidence of racial and ethnic diversity within the character ensemble.
  • No visible or invisible disability representation is present in the narrative.

AI Analysis

The film excels at subverting traditional crime tropes by centering the mystery on female-driven agency and moral complexity. Blandine's pursuit of truth shifts the genre's focus from masculine-coded investigation to a deeply personal, female-led quest for justice. However, the narrative lacks explicit markers of intersectional casting or diverse identity representation. The focus remains on a specific European dramatic framework without clear evidence of racial or LGBTQ+ depth. Ultimately, the film is a character study of systemic error. It prioritizes the deconstruction of legal truth over broad demographic representation.
