Baby Blues is a psychological drama that challenges traditional developmental milestones and domestic norms. By focusing on a seventeen-year-old mother, the film highlights the messy reality of individual autonomy and maternal responsibility. The film effectively deconstructs the concept of the stable, multi-generational household, suggesting a critical view of established social roles and traditional family hierarchies. However, the film's diversity profile is limited by a lack of visible representation across several key demographics, particularly in terms of racial, ethnic, and disability-related perspectives.
