New Showbiz Analysis

Scissors operates as a standard genre-driven horror-comedy. While the female-led ensemble provides a baseline for gendered ability to act, the film lacks multi-layered complexity. The narrative relies heavily on established slasher clichés without introducing diverse identities. The focus on influencer culture provides a contemporary setting, but the film does not yet demonstrate a commitment to progressive narrative disruption. It appears to follow traditional genre expectations rather than challenging social norms.
