The film focuses on a homogeneous, small-town environment that lacks intersectional depth or systemic critique. While the female leads drive the plot, their journey is framed by traditional aesthetic standards and social competition. The production reinforces established Western values regarding family responsibility and community order. Ultimately, the film lacks representation for LGBTQ+ identities, diverse ethnicities, or disabilities, resulting in a narrow and culturally uniform depiction of American life.
