Everstar offers a progressive cosmic adventure by centering women's ability to drive the story within a vast, multi-civilizational landscape. The film effectively uses the space odyssey cliché to move beyond terrestrial hierarchies, utilizing alien species as metaphors for a pluralistic society. However, the narrative remains somewhat neutral regarding specific identity politics. While the setting favors a decentralized, multicultural perspective, it lacks overt depictions of LGBTQ+ identities or explicit systemic critiques.
