New Showbiz Analysis

The film functions mainly as a psychological thriller, emphasizing genre conventions rather than social commentary. While it challenges typical romance clichés by featuring a predatory protagonist, it does so through well-established seduction narratives rather than progressive representation. The narrative emphasizes the male lead's influence, often at the expense of the supporting characters' autonomy. This results in a power imbalance that restricts the development of diverse characters. Overall, the film lacks a deliberate effort to address multi-layered identities or systemic critiques, leading to a conventional dramatic structure.
