New Showbiz Analysis

Amityville Karen places a woman at the center of its horror story, but she functions as a monstrous figure rather than a nuanced protagonist. The curse triggered by theft drives the plot, with no indication of diverse identities or backgrounds among the characters. The film’s focus remains tightly on its central antagonist and the resulting chaos. Representation is limited by a predominantly white cast and the absence of LGBTQ+ or disabled characters. Cultural commentary hinges on a recognizable stereotype, offering a hook without deeper exploration. Overall, the movie prioritizes its supernatural premise over inclusive storytelling.
