AI Analysis

The Tag-Along functions primarily as a localized supernatural horror film. It prioritizes atmospheric dread and the mechanics of urban legend over the exploration of intersectional identities or social hierarchies. While the film offers an authentic cultural backdrop by rooting itself in Taiwanese mythology, it remains a specialized genre piece. The narrative focuses on the consequences of engaging with folklore rather than driving progressive representation. Ultimately, the production stays within the bounds of conventional storytelling. It emphasizes the cyclical nature of fear within a closed social group rather than challenging established societal norms.
