Racial & Ethnic Diversity

Fair

The cast primarily features French actors, reflecting its specific cultural setting. While it lacks high racial blending, the biological crisis serves as a metaphor for a universal experience.

AI Analysis

The Animal Kingdom is a sophisticated piece of speculative fiction that uses biological metamorphosis to dismantle traditional social hierarchies. It succeeds by reframing the breakdown of human structures as a transformative evolution rather than a simple tragedy. While the film lacks overt identity-driven casting or explicit LGBTQ+ storylines, its narrative architecture is deeply committed to deconstructing Western norms. It moves away from anthropocentrism to explore more fluid ways of being. The film's strength lies in its metaphorical depth, particularly regarding disability and gender. It avoids common tropes by granting agency to those undergoing radical physical and social changes.
