New Showbiz Analysis

Živojin Pavlović’s film uses a realistic approach to explore social alienation and the erosion of traditional values. By focusing on a protagonist caught between two worlds, the film questions the stability of the nuclear family and the effectiveness of social integration. The narrative emphasizes a fatalistic perspective on human existence, where systemic pressures and personal shortcomings contribute to moral decay. This approach prioritizes a critique of established social orders over reinforcing conventional stability. While the film provides a nuanced examination of systemic alienation and cultural deconstruction, it lacks explicit representation of LGBTQ+ identities and diverse racial casting.
