AI Analysis

Tiger Eyes is a somber psychological drama that finds its strength in subverting traditional gender roles. By focusing on the emotional fragmentation of a family after a traumatic loss, it moves away from rigid hierarchies and explores the fragility of the parental figure. However, the film remains limited by a lack of intersectional complexity. The narrative is a localized study of grief that stays within a very conventional demographic framework, lacking significant racial, LGBTQ+, or explicit disability representation. Ultimately, while the film offers a nuanced look at psychological vulnerability, it does not engage with broader systemic social hierarchies or diverse cultural perspectives.
