The film stands out through its surrealist narrative structure that blends historical periods into a unified, peaceful setting. By placing opposing forces such as the Wehrmacht and American soldiers in a shared environment, it shifts focus from traditional 'great man' history to a study of collective memory. While the film adeptly dismantles nationalistic and patriotic wartime narratives, it falls short in explicitly representing diverse identities. The focus on soldiers serves as a powerful metaphor for shared human struggles, but it lacks specific markers for LGBTQ+ or disability representation. Ultimately, the work functions as a postmodern meditation, replacing rigid historical hierarchies with an imaginative landscape where identity is shaped by shared trauma rather than political allegiance.

Official Synopsis
Young soldiers are roaming the forest aimlessly, shots are heard in the distance. But something isn’t quite right. Soviet troops, the Wehrmacht and American soldiers in Iraq seem to be co-existing in the same peaceful woods. They speak awkwardly about war memories that could never have been their own. And yet they know them by heart. A lighthearted film connecting imagination and storytelling to the reality of war.
