AI Analysis
Merry & Bright is a conventional holiday romance that prioritizes established genre tropes over social exploration. The story follows a standard enemies-to-lovers arc centered on a corporate-themed Christmas setting. The film reinforces traditional frameworks, focusing on a heteronormative romance and a homogeneous social environment. It functions as a comfort piece that adheres to seasonal expectations rather than challenging them. While the female lead holds a position of professional authority, the narrative remains tethered to traditional gendered romance and Western seasonal values.
