New Showbiz Analysis

I Believe in Angels is a grounded, character-driven drama focusing on the social dynamics of a small Mediterranean island community. The story centers on the intellectual curiosity of Šime and the disruption caused by a newcomer. The film adheres to traditional narrative structures, emphasizing local intrigue and romantic clichés. It functions as a study of human nature within a specific cultural context rather than a tool for social deconstruction. Overall, the work lacks complexity in how it addresses multiple aspects of identity. It opts for a culturally specific exploration of small-town life that reinforces existing social fabrics rather than challenging them.
