AI Analysis

Night of the Zombies operates strictly within the established conventions of 1980s exploitation horror. The film prioritizes visceral genre tropes and high-stakes action over nuanced social commentary or intentional intersectional architecture. While the Papua New Guinea setting provides a non-Western geographic context, the narrative remains Western-centric through its focus on Interpol commandos. The conflict between institutional authority and radical activism follows a predictable genre framework. Ultimately, the film does not seek to disrupt social hierarchies. It functions as a traditional genre piece that relies on standard character archetypes rather than diverse or subversive representation.
