Synopsis

A man awakens in a car wreck at the bottom of a steep cliff. He can't remember who he is or how he got there, but a report over the radio fills in some of the blanks, as it describes a violent bank robbery and names a perpetrator who happens to be sitting dead in the back seat.

AI Analysis

Wrecked is a genre-focused mystery that prioritizes thriller tropes over social commentary. The narrative structure revolves around a man's amnesia following a violent car wreck and a bank robbery, leaving little room for intersectional exploration. The film relies on traditional archetypes, centering on a male lead without providing evidence of diverse racial, gendered, or queer perspectives. It functions as a standard crime thriller rather than a vehicle for systemic critique. Ultimately, the film lacks the intentionality required to disrupt social hierarchies, resulting in a narrow focus on plot-driven suspense rather than inclusive storytelling.
