While Holly displays agency in her pursuit of Tyler, the plot remains anchored to a male protagonist. The framework does not subvert traditional gender hierarchies.

Racial & Ethnic Diversity

AI Analysis

You Get Me functions as a standard genre piece that prioritizes interpersonal romantic conflict over intersectional exploration. The narrative architecture relies on familiar teen drama tropes, focusing on a male protagonist caught between two female interests. The film lacks engagement with progressive representation or the disruption of social hierarchies. It follows a conventional framework that does not actively challenge systemic power dynamics or present diverse cultural perspectives.
