Dressage presents a localized coming-of-age story centered around an Iranian female perspective. By focusing on Golsa's internal experiences and the social consequences of her actions, the film challenges conventional hierarchies that often sideline young women. The film's strength lies in its exploration of adolescent ability to act within rigid social environments, providing a non-Western lens that broadens the cinematic landscape. However, the film lacks specific details about identity-based casting or the inclusion of characters with disabilities.
