Fair

The film lacks explicit evidence of LGBTQ+ characters or non-heteronormative identities. The narrative focuses on a traditional protagonist-driven arc centered on a male lead.

Gender Representation

Fair

The story centers on Wes Wilson, with women appearing primarily as sources of revelation. It remains unclear if these female characters possess independent agency or serve merely as plot catalysts.

Racial & Ethnic Diversity

Limited

Disability Representation

Minimal

Strengths

  • The film utilizes a clear, high-stakes espionage framework that drives the central plot forward.

Areas for Improvement

  • The narrative relies on traditional gender roles where women function primarily as tools for the male lead's character arc.
  • The casting and setting lack evidence of racial or ethnic diversity, defaulting to a homogeneous thriller archetype.
  • There is a lack of representation for LGBTQ+ identities or characters with disabilities.

AI Analysis

Lies & Illusions operates within the established tropes of the action-thriller genre. The narrative architecture is built around a central male protagonist, Wes Wilson, whose life is disrupted by external violence and espionage. The film lacks visible indicators of intersectional complexity. Representation appears to follow traditional cinematic patterns, with women serving as catalysts for the male lead's development rather than independent agents. Overall, the production presents as a standard commercial piece. It does not offer systemic critiques or progressive social commentary, relying instead on conventional storytelling structures.
