Delia's Gone stands out by focusing on a neurodivergent protagonist who actively investigates a mystery. This portrayal avoids common stereotypes that often sideline characters with intellectual disabilities. While the film excels in representing a character with cognitive differences as an autonomous individual, it lacks visible LGBTQ+ themes or explicit racial narratives. Additionally, the film effectively critiques the fallibility of legal systems.
