The film tells the story of a near future in which the earth is irreversibly sandy, as human emissions and rubbish exceed its carrying capacity. As plants and animals mutate to create the Earth's new masters, the "sand worms", which are slaughtering the planet and driving humans to the brink of extinction, the survivors are left to their own devices to find the only remaining refuge in the deep desert, the "Oasis". An exiled team of wealthy businessmen, scientists, security chiefs, mechanic families and gangsters set out on an adventure to find the Oasis in a special armoured vehicle, but the bloodthirsty insects are hot on their heels.

Category Breakdown
LGBTQ+ Representation
The film lacks any explicit details regarding sexual orientation or non-heteronormative relationship dynamics. There is no evidence of queer identities within the character descriptions.
Gender Representation
The narrative relies on traditional archetypes like businessmen and security chiefs. While mechanic families offer potential for varied labor roles, the film lacks clear evidence of high-agency female protagonists.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
The diverse social strata of the expeditionary team suggests a move away from homogeneous structures. However, the specific ethnic breakdown of the cast remains unconfirmed.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The story offers a strong critique of late-stage capitalism and environmental mismanagement. It reframes the ecological crisis as a systemic failure of human institutions.
Disability Representation
There is no mention of neurodivergence, physical disability, or chronic illness among the survivors. The character descriptions focus entirely on social and professional roles.

AI Analysis
Devil In Dune is a genre-driven survival tale that prioritizes ecological and systemic critique over identity-based representation. The film's strength lies in its thematic exploration of environmental collapse and the failure of human-centric progress. While the cast is composed of a heterogeneous group spanning various social classes, the narrative remains rooted in traditional archetypes. This creates a framework for globalized storytelling but lacks specific evidence of diverse identity politics. Ultimately, the film functions as a cautionary tale about human emissions and waste. It challenges the concept of human exceptionalism by presenting a world where nature has reclaimed dominance through mutation.
