It adheres strictly to established mid-market romantic comedy tropes, reinforcing traditional social and familial structures through its narrative choices. The film functions within a standard Western holiday framework, focusing on the restoration of holiday plans and personal connection. It lacks intentionality regarding intersectional representation, opting for a homogeneous setting that avoids challenging existing cultural hierarchies.
