Category Breakdown
LGBTQ+ Representation
The film focuses on the procedural mechanics of a cross-border investigation. There is no evidence of LGBTQ+ characters or narratives that critique heteronormative structures.
Gender Representation
Professional women hold positions of intellectual authority within police and political environments. This disrupts the lone male investigator trope, though it stops short of radical gender restructuring.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
The cast is predominantly white and reflects a homogeneous Swedish landscape. While the plot involves international FBI cooperation, the racial diversity remains limited.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The story critiques established power structures by exploring political corruption and corporate interests. It challenges the perceived infallibility of Western institutional stability.
Disability Representation
Disability is not a central component of the character arcs or plot drivers. No characters with disabilities appear to serve as primary narrative agents.

AI Analysis
Arne Dahl: Bad Blood functions as a traditional Nordic Noir procedural. It prioritizes genre tension and systemic critique over demographic breadth, focusing on the mechanics of a criminal investigation rather than identity-driven storytelling. The film's strength lies in its institutional skepticism. By highlighting the corruption within political and corporate hierarchies, it offers a sophisticated critique of Western stability and state authority. However, the production lacks significant intersectional representation. The casting is largely homogeneous, and the narrative does not actively engage with LGBTQ+ identities, racial diversity, or disability.
