Vekslák aneb Staré zlaté časy is a period-specific social drama that prioritizes a critique of systemic economic shifts over diverse representation. The film examines how individual morality erodes under the pressure of unregulated capitalism. While it provides depth regarding the transition from a command economy to a market-driven society, it remains narrow in its demographic scope, driven by a male-centric perspective. Ultimately, the film's value lies in its exploration of institutional corruption rather than its commitment to social diversity.
