Racing Dreams is a character study that documents a specific, culturally homogeneous subculture. The film focuses on the individualistic drive and traditional family dynamics inherent to competitive kart racing. The narrative structure does not aim to disrupt or deconstruct established social hierarchies. Instead, it aligns with conventional Western social structures and the pursuit of the American Dream. Since the film adheres strictly to the existing social constraints of its setting, it lacks diverse perspectives and characters who reflect more than one aspect of diversity.
