Maybe Someday distinguishes itself by placing non-binary and queer identities at the heart of its narrative structure. Instead of treating these identities as secondary, the film uses them to drive the protagonist's journey through marriage dissolution and relocation. The film's strength lies in its challenge of traditional social frameworks and gendered expectations. By focusing on a protagonist who actively drives her own transition, the story offers a nuanced exploration of identity. However, the film's diversity profile is incomplete. Without information regarding racial, ethnic, or disability representation, the overall impact of its inclusivity remains partially obscured.
