New Showbiz Analysis

Momentum operates within a conventional action-thriller framework, prioritizing genre clichés over storytelling that reflects multiple aspects of identity. While it avoids the passivity often assigned to female characters by centering a lethal, actively leading protagonist, the film lacks broader social depth. The narrative is driven by individual retribution rather than cultural or systemic exploration. Without evidence of diverse casting or nuanced identity representation, the film remains a narrow, genre-specific experience.
