New Showbiz Analysis

Desert Son is a survival drama centered on a small group of outcasts navigating a harsh desert landscape. The narrative focuses heavily on the interpersonal conflicts and the struggle against nature following a broken family structure. The film lacks significant diversity across most categories. There is no representation of LGBTQ+ individuals, characters with disabilities, or diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds within the known cast and plot. While the film includes a central female character, the overall scope of representation is narrow, focusing almost exclusively on a specific, non-diverse group of runaways.
