New Showbiz Analysis

Antisocial 2 is a genre-driven survival horror that prioritizes visceral clichés over social commentary. While it avoids many common pitfalls, it does not actively seek to disrupt social hierarchies. The film's strength lies in its central female lead, who moves beyond passive victimhood to take control of her fate. This provides a more robust gender dynamic than many standard horror films. However, the film lacks multi-layered complexity. The representation of the 'infected' leans into traditional horror archetypes rather than offering nuanced perspectives on disability or neurodivergence.
