AI Analysis

This documentary functions as a psychological autopsy of Robert De Niro's career. It moves beyond standard biography to examine the 'hidden pain' behind his most iconic, socially disturbed characters. The film succeeds in deconstructing traditional masculinity by finding vulnerability within criminal archetypes. It treats mental health with dignity, offering a sophisticated look at the intersection of trauma and performance. However, the scope remains narrow. The focus on a single male subject limits the exploration of gender hierarchies and systemic racial or queer identities.
