Corpses is a conventional horror film that prioritizes genre clichés over social complexity. The narrative structure revolves around a typical conflict between a transgressor and an authority figure, limiting its exploration of identity politics. The film centers on traditional masculine roles, reinforcing rather than challenging gender hierarchies. This focus on individual transgression and institutional response results in a lack of diverse representation or systemic critique. Ultimately, the work functions as a straightforward genre piece. It does not attempt to deconstruct social hierarchies or explore diverse cultural perspectives.
