Argo 2 is a crime comedy that uses a multi-ethnic conflict structure to drive its plot. While it avoids a homogenous cast by featuring Japanese, Roma, and Slovakian factions, it remains a traditional genre piece. The film lacks representation for LGBTQ+ identities and disability, sticking to a narrow narrative scope. Gender dynamics are also conventional, focusing on a male-centric crew of criminals. Ultimately, the film's diversity lies in its international setting and ethnic tensions rather than in social or identity-based subversion.
