Itinéraire bis is a character-driven romantic comedy that centers on the disruption of a stagnant provincial life. The narrative tension arises from the conflict between individual desire and the weight of familial tradition. While the film offers some ability to act to its female lead, it remains anchored in conventional romantic clichés. The setting and character dynamics favor regional homogeneity over diverse representation.
