AI Analysis

G.I. Joe: Spy Troops follows a traditionalist narrative structure that prioritizes established genre tropes. While the franchise includes a diverse roster of characters, the film uses this variety to support conventional archetypes rather than exploring intersectional depth. The representation remains surface-level, focusing on visual diversity through characters like Roadblock and Snake Eyes. However, the story lacks intentionality in disrupting traditional hierarchies or engaging with complex social dynamics. Ultimately, the film reinforces Western military motifs and standard hero/villain dynamics, offering little engagement with themes outside of institutional stability and patriotism.
