New Showbiz Analysis

This experimental film functions as a personal reconstruction of shared experiences, moving away from conventional commercial storytelling. It prioritizes subjective reality and the deconstruction of distance through art. The work excels in its portrayal of health-related experiences, transforming a medical crisis into a foundation for creative ability to act. By focusing on the recovery process, the film avoids common clichés of inspiration porn. While the film shows progress in gender dynamics and emotional intelligence, it lacks specific information regarding racial or LGBTQ+ representation to provide a more comprehensive diversity profile.

Official Synopsis

A year ago Andrea had a heart attack and was hospitalized. Together with several friends, Fernando began to send her audios from abroad, reading several fragments of books that could shorten that distance. Now, inverting the roles and with the camera, they both reconstruct those words under the same premise: a voice, a place in the city, a short reading.
