Leave Us Alone is a character-driven thriller that focuses on women's ability to drive the story. By placing a single mother in a position of extreme moral complexity and survivalist decision-making, the film challenges traditional gender hierarchies and maternal passivity. However, the film lacks documented evidence of diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, LGBTQ+ identities, or disabilities. The focus remains narrow, centered on the protagonist's specific journey of protecting her son and her inherited secrets against external investigative pressures.
